Learning spaces
At OLR Primary our facilities and resources help our students become the best learners they can be. Our learning spaces are comfortable, flexible and well-equipped, with laptops and interactive whiteboards in every space.
Kindergarten Space
Our youngest students work and play in a large, flexible space that is bright, stimulating and welcoming. It includes interactive learning pods that provide daily opportunities for students to build their language and literacy skills through play and cooperative learning.
Primary Spaces
Our Primary learning spaces focus on developing the foundations of lifelong enquiry and love of learning. Students learn to work together and independently utilising equipment and technology that matches the task, fosters their creativity and encourages critical thinking and problem solving.
Year 6 Outdoor Learning Area
We know that learning isn't contained within four walls, which is why we use a variety of spaces. Our senior students have a dedicated, covered outdoor learning area used for both group and independent work. Students enjoy working in the fresh air and natural light.
Specialised areas
School Library
Our library is a favourite for all students who use it for reading, games, craft activities. Every class visits at least weekly to borrow books and develop their love of reading.
Canteen
Our healthy canteen provides a convenient option for recess and lunch, with online ordering available. Menus and ordering information are available from our office, contact us for more information.
Outdoor Areas
Students at Our Lady of the Rosary also enjoy making the most of the school’s outdoor areas, from play equipment to sporting fields and gardens.
Kindergarten/Year 1 playground
This dedicated play area includes a variety of toys, games and physical activity areas that encourage students to explore through play in a cooperative and safe environment.
Outdoor sports zone
We strive to offer our children a range of activities and sporting opportunities that help to develop the whole person and have a number of open outdoor areas and sports courts available.
Playing field
Our expansive grass area enables students to play sports such as soccer and touch football and other running games to enhance their social and physical development.
Playzone
In this area students enjoy using a range of climbing and play equipment to build their skills and fitness while having fun with friends. It has a soft fall surface for student safety.
